Dr Milica Djuric-Jovicic is Acting Director of Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, established in 2019 with the aim of providing funding and creating an enabling environment for the continuous development of scientific and research activities in the Republic of Serbia.
She has been Director of Innovation Centre at the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade since 2013. Her education background is in electrical engineering and computing from the School of Electrical Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia, where she received her BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees. She has 10+ years of experience in research and innovation related to different fields of electrical engineering and data science. She is the author or co-author of 47 scientific publications, as well as a reviewer for international journals and research and innovation grants.
Milica has been coordinator of national and international R&D projects, funded by grants, but also public or private companies. Her past experience included numerous projects that combine academia and industry, and contributed to society through innovations, applied science and new technological solutions.
Her mission today, leading Serbian Science Fund, is to provide support to scientific, R&D, and technological projects that are based on scientific excellence and quality, and to assist the social, technological, cultural and economic development of the Republic of Serbia by financing scientific and R&D projects from all areas.
