Daniel Bukumirović

New Media Development Director, United Group

Daniel Bukumirović started his career in media in 1993.  as a journalist of student Radio Index in Belgrade. From 1996 to 2004. he was a news reporter of famous independent Radio B92, covering years of street protest in Serbia and war in Kosovo in 1999. After the revolution which overthrow Slobodan Milosevic from power, he was an editor of many Radio and TV shows of B92, but also started working for B92 digital department, as a founder of B92 Sports website. During this period of time, he was also regularly reporting for foreign media, such as Dutch National TV and Radio NOS, British Sky News, Reuters News agency, as well as for Serbian independent news agency Beta. In 2004. he founded first Serbian “online only” newsroom, becoming the Editor in Chief of Mondo – one of the biggest Serbian online outlets. For three years he lectured Online journalism on the Faculty of Media and comunnications. Ten years later he gathered the team and started vice.com and VICE video production in Serbia, which produced more than 150 documentaries in the region. In February 2020. Daniel joined United Group as director for new media development, with the focus on group digital strategy from Slovenia to Greece. He is 50 years old, enjoys his life with his wife, two kids and a dog. Beside them his main passions are rockenroll and supporting his local football and basketball club.
