Tomislav Damnjanović

Campaign Manager and Consultant

Tomislav Damnjanovic for last 20 years is campaign manager, campaign consultant and trainer for many of European, Middle East and Africa political parties.
In Serbian community he is also well known as media consultant – with team won many awards such as: Best radio documentary in 1991 Prix future Berlin, then Best Trade Name (2004 Frankfurt), and Best MTV radio ad (2004 Amsterdam). He is author of book “The Cat” for which he was awarded with Grand Prix at Belgrade book fair and movie script about legendary vampire family. He was producer of several documentary awarded movies – Why they whispering in church, Heads down / hands on back and the TV serial “Camp is the address” consisted of four 24 minutes programs dealing with data and controversies of 4 Nazi camps in Belgrade during WWII.

He was one of the founders of NGO G17 PLUS and later political party G17 PLUS. During Milosevic regime this NGO played the most important role in establishing democracy in Serbia, and Damnjanovic was campaign manager for them in first democratic presidential elections in Serbia in 2000, when democratic forces finally won.
In 2003 he led parliamentary elections after which G17 PLUS party becomes member of Government. From 2003 till 2013 he successfully led all campaigns for G17 PLUS. During this period he established new way of campaigning in Serbia – G17 PLUS was the first party in Serbia which uses DtD campaign, call center and surveys for winning. He also developed his own software solution for call center, which was used in Serbian elections but also in Slovakia, Bosnia, Macedonia, Croatia and Bulgaria.
With his team he develop software for controlling Election Day results in Serbia based on 850 sample-voting places from 8.700. During 2015 his team finished software for party volunteers on social networks. In this moment software works in few parties around Europe.
From 2005th he become pollster, strategist and consultant in elections for several different parties in Europe – primary in research-based campaigns but also in developing his own software solutions for call center and organization of DtD campaign, work with volunteers and improving number of party members. In 2010 he works as consultant for Parliamentary elections in Jordan. From 2012 he works for PYPA in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia. From 2013 he is working as trainer in Somaliland with political parties on their organization. In May 2013 he runs very successful parliamentary campaign in Bulgaria as campaign strategist and manager. Than, in 2014 he worked strategist in Bulgaria on EU elections and Parliamentary elections, and in 2015 on local elections. With his team, in 2014, he worked in Bosnia and Herzegovina on member of Presidency campaign and 2 parliamentary campaigns. During 2016 he worked on local elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Same year he worked on parliamentary elections in Monte Negro. In 2017 with team worked on Presidential elections in Rwanda and Presidential & Parliamentary and regional elections in Kenya and Croatia. During 2018 he worked on Presidential elections in Monte Negro, and Parliamentary elections in Sweden and Bosnia.

Last 15 years he works as trainer and lecturer for lot of different international organizations: NDI, IRI, US Aid, IREX, Robert Shuman institute, Jarl Hjalrmarson foundation, KAS, KIC, PYPA, WFD in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia.
